Reporter: It’s the first day of school for military
kids on Yokota. One of the few differences between D-O-D and
state-side schools is that children rotate out far more often due to parent’s P-C-S-ing. It can be hard on kids but it does have its
benefits… SB: Ty Gaume: So, one of the challenges for educators is
having that rotating door in your classroom. One of the things I will say about DOD kids
is their very resilient. They deal with a lot of change, and just from
what I’ve seen this morning many of the students are raring to go and excited about
being at school so that’s one of the great benefits of the DOD is it really helps the
