Lieutenant Commander Blake Dremann on Being Out in National Security.

Lieutenant Commander Blake Dremann on Being Out in National Security.

Hey everyone, my name is Blake Dremann.
I’m a Lieutenant Commander United States Navy. I got my start in national security
by being an out female on United States submarines and have since transitioned
to being a very visible trans man and the Chief Readiness Officer for the
DoD’s nuclear supply chain. Being out and visible is extremely important to me
because with all of the myths and lies that are being told about trans people
the only way to overcome prejudice is to be everything that my boogeyman is not. I
encourage you on this National Coming Out Day to be the best ambassador of the
LGBT community you can be.
