Local Navy Father Reunited With Children

QUITE THE SURPRISE AS CBS2 JESSICA LAYTON SHOWS US. “I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.” EVERYDAY, AT LYNN WOOD AVENUE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, STUDENTS HONOR THEIR FLAG AND COUNTRY WITH THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. FOR ANDREW AND AVA STOCK, THIS IS A REMINDER OF HOW MUCH THEY MISS THEIR FATHER, JACOB STOCK WHO HAVE BEEN STATIONED IN THE PERSIAN GULF AND WHO THEY HAVEN’T SEEN IN MORE THAN A YEAR. I LOVE MY CHILDREN VERY MUCH. I DON’T WANT TO LET THEM GO, BUT I HAVE MY DUTY TO MY COUNTRY. TODAY, HE’S READY TO BE REUNITED WITH HIS KIDS, ONE IN KINDERGARTEN AND THE OTHER IN 4th GRADE. THIS IS SO EXCITING. WITH THE HELP OF HIS WIFE KELLY AND SCHOOL PRINCIPAL DANIELLE, A PLAN WAS HATCHED TO HOST AN ASSEMBLY ON KINDNESS AND EMPATHY HONORING AVA AND ANDREW FOR THEIR GOOD EXAMPLE. YOU HAVE SHOWN STRENGTH AND WE’RE HAPPY TO PRESENT YOU WITH THE VERY SPECIAL — [Cheers and Applause] I LOVE MY FAMILY. IT WAS TOUGH BEING AWAY. SOMETHING YOU NEVER FELT MORE, HE SAYS THAN IN THE ARMS OF HIS KIDS.
