MA Translation Studies – University of Sheffield – School of Languages and Cultures

I just this study translation at
Sheffield University because when compared with other universities around
it really stood out in terms of its reputation and expertise and most
importantly for me amongst many other languages it offered Polish translation
at any level I was new translation and had to learn everything from the basics
but the combination of theoretical and practical modules networking events and
practical seminars with leading translation software providers gave me
the set of skills necessary to work as a translator teaching on the causes of
very high standard electors experienced knowledgeable and very supportive we get
to work with the most up-to-date relations software and there’s plenty of
approaching to get involved myself for example with another student we work on
a project that aims at establishing and mentoring schemes at the local
translation agencies for their students being a postgraduate student and then
home to two very young girls was challenging but the lectures and the
support staff had fantastic individual support and on the front side is a
vibrant postgraduate society organizing lots of social events I would recommend
this program because it really gives you ready to work in the translation
profession and you get to meet fantastic people both staff and students
