Man reunited with class ring after 45 years

I had graduated from
Bishop Carroll in 1967 and had a class ring that we all earned. And about six or seven years later, and my home was broken into. And some of my things were stolen, including my jewelry,
such as my class ring. And I was saddened, but
I moved on with life, and didn’t ever expect to see it again. The people that found it
surprisingly contacted the school. As it was, in October of 2018,
a man cleaning out a drain in a middle
school in DeSoto County, Mississippi, he pulled
out the apparatus and found a ring attached to it. And he saw some initials inside of it,
and with the aid of the Internet, was able to connect with
Bishop Carroll High School. And contacted them and
went ahead and sent it to them. The story almost outweighs what the ring
represented to me as being a graduate. I was real proud of graduating
from the school here. The way in which it happened
is just the unusual serendipity format gave it
another level of interest. And then for it to happen on
the birthday was a gift, a literal gift. [BLANK_AUDIO]
