Navy Personnel Command Celebrates Veterans Day

AS VETERANS DAY APPROACHES, SMALL TOWNS ACROSS
AMERICA MAKE PLANS TO HONOR OUR NATION’S HEROES. “THE FIELD OF FLAGS IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT
WE DO EVERY YEAR FOR VETERANS DAY. OUR EXCHANGE CLUB PRESIDENT HAD THIS IDEA JUST TO MOCK
A PICTURE OF A VETERAN PLACING A FLAG DOWN AND IT TURNED INTO THIS GREAT EVENT THAT WE
HAD TODAY.” THE FLAGS FLYING IN COVINGTON EACH REPRESENT
THE LIFE OF A PATRIOT. “IT MEANS A LOT TO ME TO KNOW THAT MY COMMUNITY
IS ACTUALLY HONORING MYSELF AND THOSE OF US WHO ARE STILL IN, WHO ARE STILL GOING OVER,
WHO ARE STILL TRYING TO DO WHAT WE CAN.” THE FLAGS WILL FLY THROUGH NOVEMBER 14TH IN
HONOR OF VETERANS DAY. “ANYTHING THAT PROMOTES PATRIOTISM FOR OUR
COUNTRY IS A GREAT HONOR TO BE A PART OF.” FROM NPC, I’M PETTY OFFICER ANDREA PEREZ.
