SAILORS FROM NAVAL HOSPITAL ROTA, SPAIN VISITED
DGF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO HELP THE STUDENTS. LIEUTENANT JOSEPH OSMOND, AN OPTOMETRIST FORM
THE HOSPITAL HAD THIS TO SAY. “OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS WE’VE BEEN ABLE
TO COME AND FIND SEVERAL CHILDREN WHO WERE NOT SEEING AS WELLL AS THEY COULD HAVE OR
SHOULD HAVE AND WE WERE ABLE TO PORVIDE THEM WITH BETTER PRESCRIPTIONS THROUGH GLASSES
SOME EVE CONTACT LENSES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR VISION.” THE DOCTORS AND CORPSMAN SAW EVERY CHILD IN
THE SCHOOL OVER A TWO DAY PERIOD PERFORMING HEARING AND VISION TESTS. FOURTH GRADER VICTORIA
MCMILLAN HAD THIS TO SAY. “WELL I GUESS OVER WHEN THEY PUT THE GLASSES
