Veterans + Military at Comcast NBCUniversal, Michelle Director of Enterprise Architecture

SPEAKER: Hi. My name’s Michelle. I was a medical service corps
officer in the United States Army. And now I’m a director of
enterprise architecture at Comcast NBC Universal. My initial transition from
military to civilian life was like a lot of people,
extremely challenging. I had a second
transition then when I moved to corporate
America a few years later. Veterans enrich the
workplace in so many ways, including the values we
bring from the military, such as a teamwork,
discipline, loyalty, and never leaving a brother or a
sister in arms behind, but also a lot of the skills, program and
project management, operations, and being able to
work on a global scale and act locally as well. Comcast NBC Universal
is an outstanding place for veterans to work. We have a very robust veterans
network at both companies to support veterans
as they transition, as well as during
their careers here. We have a lot of
career opportunities specifically for
veterans and our skills and a diversity team that
supports us through that. And finally, our company is very
veteran-friendly from the top down with many of
our senior leaders also being veterans themselves. Go Army beat Navy. [MUSIC PLAYING]
